Get ready for the most unforgettable, family-friendly Halloween event of the year! You won’t want to miss the

Thrills and Chills Halloween Fest – a full day of activities, tricks, local treats, booze, games, and killer music! This event is in partnership with Fairplay Community Volunteer Fire Company and is presented by Stone House Urban Winery and Meinelschmidt Distillery. Festivities start at 11am, and the gals & ghouls can celebrate in spooky style until 8pm.

WiYNN’s Event Coordinator, Amber Burdick, says her vision for the event is to create a Halloween experience that has “something for everyone”. As a mom of young kids, she is coordinating an event that celebrates pumpkin season, but isn’t too scary for the little ones. Get ready to strut your stuff in the Disney-themed and scary costume contests. And if you think you’ve got what it takes to nail the iconic “Wednesday” Addams dance sequence, start practicing now! We’ve prepared epic prizes for child and adult winners of the contests.

Have no fear, our Kid’s Glow Pack is sure to light up your little ones’ faces! The WiYNN Glow Pack add-on includes entry into our glow tent filled with balloons and fun black lights, a glow hat, glow glasses, glow bracelets, temporary glow tattoos, glow face painting, and entrance to our not-so-scary pirate ship obstacle inflatable! Grab your add-on tickets now, as they are limited while supplies last. Opening the sound stage at 12:30pm is musician Andrew Grimm, who will be playing many of your favorite local southern country and rock tunes! Grimm was one of the Dirty Boot Country Fest’s musical finalists and we are excited to invite him back to the stage for our Thrills & Chills fest.

At 2:30pm, enjoy Joyride’s good time rock’n’roll tunes. Based in Washington County, MD, members of Joyride include Dave Davidson (bass guitar), Chris Nikpora (guitar), Randy Welty (drums), and James Wheeler (vocals). Joyride strives to entertain their fans through fun crowd interaction and performing upbeat danceable rock, pop, and country music. From 4:30pm-6pm, families can enjoy music from The Little Mermen, NYC’s Premier Disney Cover Band.

Everyone will enjoy dancing along to alternative versions of popular Disney classics like “Let It Go” from Frozen, “How Far I’ll Go” from Moana, and of course, “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid. The band’s goal is to bring Disney-fueled nostalgia and singalongs to a generation that grew up on Disney, and their kids, too! End the evening singing along with one of the DMV’s hottest cover bands,
Cazhmiere, from 6:30-8pm. Their songs include a wide range of party material from the 80’s and 90’s to today’s current pop, dance, new country and modern rock radio hits! The unlimited variety in an evening with Cazhmiere is sure to be fun and energetic for everyone.

The WiYNN team is excited to see the variety of bands on stage. “As well as supporting our local artists, we love to keep events fresh by inviting famous musical acts from all around the USA” says Dave Grimm, Owner of WiYNN.

After 6pm, we’ll dial up the thrill-o-meter for the grown-ups. Don’t worry, though; we promise it won’t be too spooky. Those over 21 will be able to enjoy coffee, specialty cocktails, and mocktails from our local breweries and distilleries. Local food trucks and vendors will also be serving delicious themed treats that will keep even a monster-sized appetite at bay.
