Celebrate at WiYNN’s Funky Fiesta on Cinco De Mayo
Announcing the funkiest Cinco de Mayo event in the region, hosted by WiYNN and Thick-N-Thin Brewing Co. Party like a local at this block-long celebration on Spark Drive in Hagerstown at WiYNN’s Funky Fiesta on Cinco De Mayo!
This inaugural event will feature fun activities, authentic international food, local bands, dancing, vendor shopping, and lots more!
Try your hand at tons of Cinco de Mayo-themed activities and games like corn hole, mega piñata busting, and a taco eating contest.
Come hungry because this unique event will have plenty of food on hand. Anchoring one end of the block party, Los Amigos restaurant will be featuring serve fresh and authentic Mexican dishes in a welcoming atmosphere — PLUS $2.99 Margaritas! Located mid-plaza, Brother’s Pizza and Italian Restaurant is known for their authentic Italian dishes, cocktails, and freshly-made pizzas. Make sure to grab a craft draft from Thick-N-Thin Brewing Co.’s huge TNT Tap Wall. If that isn’t enough to tempt your tastebuds, stop at one of the specialty food trucks throughout the festival.
What would a Cinco de Mayo party be without live Latin music? Listen to the sounds of an authentic mariachi band — complete with violins and horns — as Mariachi Los Mensajeros Del Sur De Humberto Guzman plays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Energetic five-piece Latin fusion band De Tierra Caliente will make you want to get up and dance from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Then, dance the rest of the evening away with the hot Latin DJ Domingo Distrakshun Mencia, the official deejay for Hagerstown’s Hispanic Festival.
